Just a Fun Hobby
Really, this whole microgreen thing, I was just trying to find a way to make some easy cash on the side. But “easy” it was not. And who could have guessed that it would have turned out this way? I’m Brandon Higgins, and this is my story about how Revogreen got its start.
It began in 2020, when all of us were stuck at home, bored as hell, and in desperate need of a hobby. I’d always been on the
lookout for a side hustle when a buddy of mine told me about microgreens. He said they were “pretty easy” to grow, and that they were a hot item at farmers'
markets.
So, I turned my dining room into a grow house (my wife, Brittney, she loved that). Things went pretty well. We were selling
at farmers markets and people loved our products. That’s when some weird stuff started happening. People were coming back and telling us stories like, “I’ve had allergies all my life, and now they’re gone,” or, “My waistline has gone down 2 sizes since eating your broccoli microgreens”, and stranger yet, “I don’t know what’s going on, but I’ve been eating your stuff, and my tumor shrank by half.”
Science the Crap Out of It
You see, I’d done my homework, and I didn’t get those engineering degrees for nothing. I’d seen what other growers were doing, and I thought I could improve on it. I just wanted the best tasting and hardiest microgreens, but what I wound up with was so much more. These things were actually helping people. People were getting relief from illnesses they’d had all their lives, things that modern medicine didn’t have answers for.

About this time, I also found out that my wife was pregnant with triplets!!! It was time to get to work. Now my fun little hobby needed to pay for 3 of everything, 3 bottles, 3 cribs, 3 crates of diapers.
