Relieve Back Pain Naturally
How I Cured My Lower Back Pain at Home
Ok, I only cut it by a measly 90%!!!, but better than nothing.
The first time you throw your back out, that’s the day you learn why your dad has that goofy walk. And now you’re in for it. It’s a solid 1-2 months of some of the most debilitating pain you’ve ever experienced. I first tweaked my back in my mid-20s, then threw it out hard in my early 30s, and it seemed like ever since then, it just got worse and worse. You’ve probably had some pretty similar experiences. And while there are many treatment options available, from medications to surgery, more and more of us have seen friends and loved ones go down that road and not see any relief.
But there are some natural remedies that really work. I stumbled onto pea microgreens. I started taking them to relieve stress, but one day realized, “Hey, my back pain is all gone!” In this post, we'll look at the benefits of pea microgreen supplements, along with some other natural remedies I’ve used that reduced my pack pain by over 90%!
The pea microgreen is a young plant that’s packed with nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants, and flavonoids that have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. By incorporating pea microgreen supplements into your back pain relief regimen, you can alleviate inflammation and reduce pain without relying on medications or surgery. So, let's take a closer look at the science behind pea microgreens and how they can benefit back pain relief.
Revogreen Recover
Revogreen Recover has our highest concentration of pea microgreens and is our best-selling supplement for pain relief.
Herbs for Back Pain and Inflammation: Pea Microgreens
You may be thinking, really peas? That sounds stupid. How can pea microgreens help me alleviate back pain? The answer lies in the nutrients found in these tiny plants. Pea microgreens are rich in compounds that have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, including kaempferol, quercetin, and carotenoids.
Kaempferol
Kaempferol is a flavonoid that has been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory effects. In a study published in the journal Biomolecules, kaempferol was found to reduce inflammation in mice with induced arthritis. (I know, but it's so hard to find mice with back pain. None of them have desk jobs)
Quercetin
Similarly, quercetin has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and sinelytic effects in human studies, particularly in reducing the inflammatory response in individuals with allergies and asthma. So, yeah, there are some other fringe benefits to taking pea microgreens.
Carotenoids
Carotenoids, on the other hand, are antioxidants that have been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects. A study published in the journal Nutrients found that the carotenoids in pea microgreens, specifically lutein, and zeaxanthin, were able to reduce inflammation in human blood cells.
Overall, the compounds found in pea microgreens may help to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in the body, potentially alleviating back pain. So, if you're looking for a natural way to manage your back pain, pea microgreen supplements may be worth considering.
What are Pea Microgreens Anyway?
Pea microgreens are young plants that are an excellent source of nutrients. They’re becoming increasingly popular as health food, but they are also available as supplements. Pea microgreens are the young, tender plants of the pea plant, harvested after the first leaves have emerged. Microgreens are being shown to have many health benefits. Many of them contain all the essential elements, and some contain more than the entire plant when it’s fully grown.
Pea microgreens are packed with a variety of nutrients, including vitamins A, C, and K, as well as minerals like iron and calcium. They're also high in antioxidants and flavonoids, which have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. These nutrients work together to support a healthy immune system and may even help to reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
When it comes to back pain relief, the nutrients found in pea microgreens may be particularly beneficial.
- Vitamin C, has been shown to reduce inflammation
- Vitamin K plays a role in bone health
- The antioxidants and flavonoids may also help to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the body
These all have the potential to alleviate your back pain. But, let's take a closer look at a few things you can pair with pea microgreens that can help relieve your back pain.
Revogreen Recover & Revogreen Power
Some of our customers like to pair Revogreen Recover with Revogreen Power. While Revogreen Recover has a soothing effect on a hurt back, the fenugreek in Revogreen Power has been used to strengthen the lower back, in traditional Chinese medicine. Our customers love to use it as a pre-workout supplement and have reported feeling less back pain during workouts.
Back Pain Home Remedies
While pea microgreen supplements may be a great natural remedy for back pain relief, there are other natural remedies and methods that can be used in combination to provide holistic relief.
Exercise
One of the most effective ways to manage back pain naturally is through exercise. Exercise helps to improve flexibility, strength, and range of motion, which can all help to reduce back pain. In my case, my back pain was so severe that most exercises were out of the question. Much of the time, I’d do a workout, and then hurt myself. And I’d be out for 6-8 weeks. I did find that Chi Gong was super helpful (it’s kinda like Tai Chi), and Yoga (especially if I focused on stretching exercises). I could also go for walks (Woo hoo! Those were exciting times).
Stretching
I mentioned Yoga above, but stretching is another natural remedy that can help to alleviate back pain. Stretching helps to improve flexibility and reduce tension in the muscles, which can lead to an improved range of motion and reduced pain. I highly recommend a type of Yoga called Yin-Yoga. It removes the strength positions that can exacerbate back pain, and has you hold relaxed stretches for up to 5 minutes! It can give you some crazy deep tissue release.
Massage
Massage is also a natural remedy that can be used to manage back pain. Massage can help to reduce tension in the muscles, increase blood flow, and promote relaxation, all of which can lead to reduced pain and improved mobility. I’m a big fan of Active Release Therapy and AROSTI. They both focus on deep tissue release. It actually hurts like heck while you’re having it done, but you feel amazing after a session.
Mindfulness
Finally, mindfulness techniques, such as meditation and deep breathing, can help to reduce stress and tension in the body, which can exacerbate back pain. By incorporating mindfulness techniques into your daily routine, you can help to reduce stress and tension in the body, potentially leading to reduced back pain. My favorite mindfulness practice for back pain is Chi Gong. It’s like a moving meditation that gives you physical exercise while it releases tension and gives you greater mental control over your body.
By using a holistic approach to back pain relief that combines various natural remedies and lifestyle changes, you can improve your overall health and well-being while also managing your back pain naturally. So, consider incorporating these natural remedies and methods into your routine, in addition to pea microgreen supplements, for optimal back pain relief.
Revogreen Recover & Revogreen Power
You may notice our competitor’s supplements are a lot heavier than ours. They’ll try to bulk up their supplements by adding fillers like vegetable cellulose (that’s sawdust!), or silicon dioxide (that’s sand!!!). In the end, you have a heavy supplement that could make you sick. But Revogreen microgreens are light and airy. That’s because there’re zero fillers. Just 100% nutrient-dense microgreens.
Pea Microgreen Supplements for Back Pain Relief
If you're interested in incorporating pea microgreens into your back pain relief regimen, one convenient and natural way to do so is by using pea microgreen supplements. Pea microgreen supplements are a concentrated source of the nutrients found in pea microgreens, making them an easy and convenient way to get the benefits of these tiny plants.
Using supplements also has a few advantages over fresh microgreens. For one, supplements are typically more convenient and versatile than whole foods. You can take conveniently packaged pea microgreen supplements anywhere, anytime, without worrying about preparation or spoilage. Additionally, supplements provide a consistent dosage of nutrients, whereas whole foods may vary in nutrient content depending on factors such as growing conditions and preparation methods.
There are a variety of pea microgreen supplement products available on the market, including capsules, powders, and liquid extracts (obviously, we're a little partial to Revogreen). When choosing a supplement, it's important to look for high-quality products that are organic and free from additives and fillers.
At Revogreen we’ve crafted the highest-quality microgreen supplements on the market. We do it by growing our microgreens in top-notch live soil, that has all the befits of living microbes and mycelial networks. We also have a special freeze-drying process that works to bring out and intensify our microgreens’ essential elements.
By incorporating pea microgreen supplements into your natural pain relief regimen, you may be able to reduce inflammation and alleviate back pain naturally and conveniently. So, consider adding these supplements to your routine, in addition to other natural remedies and methods for optimal back pain relief.
